About Josh Ballengee

Josh Ballengee, Associate Broker at Elite Realty and team leader of Ballengee & Co. Inc founded in 2004, was not born in Lynchburg but considers it home. A resident of more than 30 years, Josh moved here in 1987 with his family from Charleston, S.C. and has enjoyed the area and people ever since. Josh is a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School and happily married to his wife Mindy of 16 years. Their family includes two daughters. This is where he spends most of his time when he is not working on real estate. Josh is a huge fan of basketball and coaches his two daughters.

After high school Josh spent several years in the restaurant and manufacturing industries working his way up from the bottom into management. Realizing his dreams of controlling his own destiny, he set out and obtained his real estate license in late 2003, and began his career at a local independent company. Using his service and management skills, he set out in real estate to be different. He received the 2004 LAR Rookie of The Year award based on transactions and LAR involvement. He also has made the LAR Honor Society from 2004-2006 and the VAR Honor Society in 2005. Josh has also chaired or served on all committees at the Lynchburg Association. He also was a graduate of the first LAR Leadership Academy. In December of 2006 Josh obtained his Brokers license and was an Associate Broker until 2007 when he took a chance on his dream of owning his own firm. In July of 2011 Josh merged his company into a local firm before rejoining a independent company in 2013 as Vice President and COO. Josh was also installed as President of the Lynchburg Association of Realtors in January 2013. Today, Josh spends his time working solely listing and selling for his clients at Elite Realty.
